Meet Brite’s newest team members!

Hey, thanks for stopping by our blog.  Today’s post is a little different than our usual IT-related content.  Our Brite team has some new faces around the office, and while we’ve spent the past few months getting to know them, we thought maybe now is the time you should too.

Because of the diverse areas of our business, Brite has a wide array of positions.  We have customer facing sales roles that work to help our customers find the right solution for their needs.  Engineers to help ensure the solution is the right technical fit and help with the implementation.  And, NOC and security specialists to help offload the daily task of managing an IT infrastructure and security tools.  Really what we’re saying is that we have a job for everyone.  (We even have openings right now (!!!), so take a look at our careers page to see if anything catches your eye)

A n y w a y, let’s get back to meeting our newest team members.  Rather than your typical bio, we had them answer a few questions. We wanted to make sure to avoid the awkward first date silence.

New hire breakfast with Brite’s President and COO, Justin Smith.

Anthony | Inside Sales Support (Cyber Security) | Joined Brite: September 2019

What are you looking forward to most at Brite?  I’m looking forward to learning more about the cyber security industry and growing in the role of sales rep.  Being a part of Brite’s story is something I’m proud of and it motivates me to keep the momentum going.

Who is your favorite superhero?  Batman because he’s the most relatable superhero out there. He is a regular person (without superpowers) who suffered a tragedy early in his life and used it as fuel to drive his efforts to protect the innocent.  Also, he has a cool voice and impressive fleet of vehicles (I mean, who wouldn’t love to drive the Batmobile?!).

What’s your go-to lunch?  PB&J on toasted bread.  Toasted bread being the key component.

What’s your dream vacation?  My dream vacation would be traveling throughout Europe and visiting the places my family members are from.

Derrek | NOC Specialist | Joined Brite: January 2020

What are you looking forward to most at Brite?  Developing projects and being able to create devices or programs that will make security easier to manage and threats easier to mitigate.  I eat, sleep, breathe technology so this is home.  The atmosphere definitely welcomes you to the family.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?  Grilled plantains and Caribbean jerk chicken.

Would you rather vacation in Hawaii or Alaska, and why?  Hawaii, the ocean is relaxing.  Bring on that warmth.  I want to drink out of a coconut while listening to the sounds of the ocean.

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?  Keanu Reeves.  He is the only one that could possibly love their dog as much as I love mine.

Katelin | Inside Sales (Public Safety) | Joined Brite: January 2020

What are you looking forward to most at Brite?  I am looking forward to gaining new friends and to help our customers keep their communities safe.

Do you love or hate rollercoasters?  I hate rollercoasters!  I always get sick.

Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not?  I love surprises, I think it shows how much thought and effort a person took out of their time to do something special for you.  It’s a thoughtful gesture.

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?  I would spend time with my 92-year-old Grandma who lives in Montana.  I don’t get to see her very often and when I do, it never seems like enough time to be with her.

Sean | Security Analyst | Joined Brite: January 2020

What are you looking forward to most at Brite?  What I’m looking forward to most at Brite is working hard and helping this company grow.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?  If I could live anywhere, I would want to live somewhere warm.  I don’t have anything specific in mind, but I would love an area with warm weather all year round.

What sports team would you want to be on and why?  If I could pick one sports team to be on, it would be the Los Angeles Lakers.  Living in LA would be pretty cool and playing for a historically special team would be pretty amazing.

What is your favorite thing about your career?  My favorite thing about my career is that I’m constantly learning something new.  Technology is always changing and there is always something you can learn that you didn’t know the day before.

Nick | Security Analyst | Joined Brite: September 2019

What are you looking forward to most at Brite? I am looking forward to helping Brite expand its client base.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be? The next place I want to travel to is Greece.

What’s your biggest fear? My biggest fear is failure.

Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Besides necessities, I could not go a day without music.

We know we added a good bunch to an already good bunch – and would love to add you! Don’t forget to check out our current job openings (or feel free to forward to a friend who you think would be a great fit).  Find all open positions on our careers page.
